Well I just got the call 30 minutes ago and have not been able to stop crying/laughing long enough to call family or friends to tell them CIGNA approved my Prestige Cervicle ADR. I did however want all the wonderful people who have helped me here and those still fighting to know that it is possible to take down the big guy with a little sling shot!
For now I am going to live in the moment and go streak around the neighborhood naked or something celebratory!!! Just kidding....For those interested and those that think my account can help you in anyway...well I am here to tell you "I will give any of you my name, insurance company and dates of appeal/surgery etc...If you need it to say HEY CIGNA-You paid for her surgery, now what about mine!!!"I am here!
I am too high strung at the moment to type the tale up but I will write up an account of exactly what I did and the steps that lead to this DENIAL OVERTURN (geeze I love those words).

I know I am one of the uncommonly fortunate ones and I feel so blessed . I pray-pray-pray for those of you on the brink of hopelessness cause I been there! So have some hope....

Today started off as a different day now that I look back over it....I took time for myself today....let the worries of everything and the gravity of my situation go for the day. While indulging in a "just me" day, I visited the diary of a musician I like very much and came across these words as he reflected on the 5th anniversary of his Mothers passing "Take a moment to count your blessings. Remind yourself that life is short. Take a deep breath and allow the petty stuff to disintegrate into dust and blow away. It's all gonna work out." ~Maynard James Keenan~

I just bawled my eyes out after reading that....and I felt much better.(One who rarely cries)
The stress of fighting what seems like a hopeless battle suffocates you and you do not realize how much you have been keeping a lid on your frustrations untill you have a good cry and a nice deep breath.

Good health to all and I will fill you in soon on the details .

Janey

Wow Janey, congrats! This has gotta feel great.

It's so great to read about someone being successful! Gives the rest of us hope! Congrats and can't wait to hear the whole story.

Congrats! It's awesome to see someone squeak out a victory against these darned stubborn and unfeeling insurance companies.
