Has anyone here had experience of the Backlife lower spine musclegroup exerciser?

I'm wondering whether having been turned down for ADR, I might benefit from exercising with one of these machines. I think my biggest fear is a sudden move which might split open a disc which then might allow a fragment to press on a nerve giving me added problems. Is this a fair analogy or might exercising the muscles around the spine with this device actually help to prevent what I fear?
