HI ,
Iam currently one month post-op from having L5 S1 adr surgery I was wondering if anyone here can tell me if they have had similiar nerve pain, acheness, and soreness on their buttocks and back of their legs up to their bottom of their feet starting three days after surgery. It sounds that its common but how long can this last?

Hi dsper8

If you read the thread in ADR surgical outcome forum titled: "Lumbar L-4 L-5 Prodisc-L_chasswen", it has alot of posts about how long the leg pain and such lasted for him. It was recommended to him to take B12, magnesium and Neurontin. He even talks about caffeine helping him. It is very lengthy, but may help you know what to expect.

I am a cervie myself, so can be of no help in this department. I do hope it calms down for you soon.

July 31, 2006 Surgery successfully completed Prodisc-C C5/C6 on in Straubing, Germany by Dr. Bertagnoli. Able to work full time since 1 month post op, but some pain remains.
10/2008 3 surgeons confirm C6/C7 needs ADR and always has.
Has anyone had a second ADR surgery on an adjacent level?

My leg pain came and went over many months; though it was not bad at all. Try to be patient, do gentle stretching, hot baths, massage...

Lyrica up to 400 mg per day controlled my pain in my legs and feet. A lot of nerve pain. Lyrica acts more specific rather than globally like neurontin. Hang in there. You are early, early on.
