Fruit & Gout Connection?

Symptoms of Gout Are Related to Excess Uric Acid

Interesting article. Living my lifetime in the Pacific Northwest, we know a lot about gout because of all the seafood which also contributes to the excess of uric acid...I'm surprised this article didn't mention it.

A "cure" for gout that my dad taught me years ago...not that I have ever had it but he has, was the cherries. He swore by it.

It's interesting to see the scientific side of the old cowboy remedy I was taught. Although cherries are high in fructose, they can be helpful in moderation.

Cherries work wonders.
