Fruit & Gout Connection?
|
Interesting article. Living my lifetime in the Pacific Northwest, we know a lot about gout because of all the seafood which also contributes to the excess of uric acid...I'm surprised this article didn't mention it.
A "cure" for gout that my dad taught me years ago...not that I have ever had it but he has, was the cherries. He swore by it. It's interesting to see the scientific side of the old cowboy remedy I was taught. Although cherries are high in fructose, they can be helpful in moderation. |
Thanks Kelly, your comments make sense to me! :shedance:

I have gout. :censor:
Haven't had a flare since I've lost so much weight. Worst pain I have ever felt in my life!!! Cherries work wonders. |
