I will probably do something mail order / online, since it is much more convenient. I am also thinking about going to a Dell store somewhere nearby, to get a feel for the physical dimensions of their laptops.
Apple: I have nothing against Apple, but I lean more towards the Windows / Linux environment (although ironically, I do most of my work on the OpenVMS 8.2 platform).
Children: Against my religion.
