Thanks everyone so very much for all the thoughts, prayers and concern for Joshua. We needed your support and are grateful to each of you.

He seems to have come through the surgery well. In addition to the fusion, the surgeon removed several bone spurs and a cyst from his spine. Josh was in extreme pain yesterday morning but that was addressed and he is better now. The doctor explained that little old ladies with little muscle or even very fat folks do not have the intense pain as a young man in his prime because cutting heavy muscle is much more painful. He sat up on the edge of the bed last night & says that he is going to walk today. They are having some trouble with 1 of his 2 drain tubes and may have to redo it. He may get to come home on Monday. He will stay with us (parents) during recovery & his Dad (medically retired)will look after him during the day, so his wife can work.

Please continue to lift Joshua up in your thoughts and prayer for a successful recovery & the ability to have a normal life. I will keep you updated.

Aleta
