Hello All:

Perhaps I've missed the discussion, but I'm having difficulty finding information about patient experience in securing post-operative insurance coverage (if any) relative to ADR surgeries conducted in Europe. In short, I am having Dr. Zeegers at Alpha Klinik give me a treatment recommendation for possible cervical ADR. I don't have a particular issue with the cost of the surgery, but I am concerned that I might not have insurance coverage if I have any complications upon returning to the U.S. For those of you who have traveled to Germany for your ADR surgery, what's your take on your current insurance coverage related to that surgery?

The current recommendation from my local neurosurgery group is a single-level fusion at C5-C6 (out of 3 surgeons in the group that I've spoken with, 2 recommend fusion and one recommends ADR with a ProDisc-C).

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
