Yesterday I really didn't do too much except laundry and some grocery shopping and taking Lola to the beach, walking her several times..
today my back is screaming at me.. "get surgery now".. or maybe it's "lie down some more".. or I think it might be "will you please ice me?"... ans~ please abandon all academic pursuit for now, you have a greater calling .. a specialized spiney full service moving company~ I'll be the assistant CEO and advise you on what a RFU spiney needs (the first word there is really, last is up, middle is...f'...ed) Spotty... yeah, good one day and bad the next.. what's a spiney gal to do... arrggghhh unpacking delays... |

Mariaa,
Hope the packing is getting done and you are getting the rest and pain relief you deserve. If you've got lot's more unpacking to do, let us know - I'll try to round up some strapping young spines and send them over on my soon-to-be-defunct Delta miles (ha, ha). Are you thinking about taking the ADR plunge soon? Keep in touch and good luck. Best, Laura

Maria,
Do you have a TV avd DVD player connected? There are some wonderful soothing and relaxing yoga programs that provide modified poses for back injuries. If you are able, I highly suggest you call around to find BioFreeze or a similar product. With all of your errands and movements, it is great to rub on the BioFreeze and feel it start to work while continuing with your activities. Are you able to soak in the tub or a hot tub or pool? Hopefully, you are pacing yourself now as you unwind from the move. Take care

OK Maria just let me know when I should pack my bags and come down and help you recover from surgery.
Your life is waiting for you and Lola needs you to be strong enough to take her for lots of long walk so if you cant do it for yourself do it for her she loves you so much. Lets talk this week I will be hanging around taking Lilly for walks.

Mariaa,
I'm purposely bumping you into currency on the lists. Sorry for the new scrutiny, but I just had to do it. (That will teach you to kindly welcome newcomers, won't it?) HOW ARE YOU? Are you settling in? What's going on with your critters? Are the kitties comfy with hubbie? Is the woofer-girl still home with you? I do hope you're getting daily furr-time ... it's such a comfort. I offer help with your furr-faces, always. Thinking of you, -j |

Jenni,
thanks for the bump.. Just got an ESI last Monday back in San Diego (like my PM there) and it does wonders for me! I was walking several blocks painfully w/dog before ESI. Afterwards, walking up to 3 miles daily~ went to beach in Coronado on Friday and huge waves were coming in.. I actually was running aobut with Lola as waves came in.. it was awesome!!!! As to settling in, now I can continue the processo of unpacking. Cats had a week w/o dog here to explore house (were babysat by upstairs tenants).. Seems I do so well with ESIs, this is the reason I put off surgery as I feel so good w/steroidal bathing of spinal nerves tho when it wears off, I'm like a very old lady who can hardly make it about.. Ok, leaving you all on a good note here, feeling good and anxious for some hot weather next week to take Lola to Huntington Beach (dog beach)~ want to enjoy more waves/sun/beach! take care, hope you're all well too! Maria |

Dog beach.....I'm so jealous. Aspen would love to meet Lola.
I't taken me three days but I've finally broken this fever. So I'm just going to lie low until my surgery. Which means, No dog Beach for Aspen! |
