For those of you who have had ADR in Europe what was the total cost in US dollars? I have been denied again by my ins and am launching an appeal but am looking at all options now. I sure dont have $53,000 to pay for the surgery here and dont know how we would swing it in Stenum or Ak either. If you would like to PM me feel free to do so or dont feel comfortable with that information in public.
I need a 2 level lumbar according to Dr. Blumenthal at TBI Also I think from what i have seen the trip seems to be about 2 weeks in duration is that your experience? I have little kids at home and lots of dogs lol so this is a factor too. I am so sick of this pain and it really stinks that our health care system is no better than it is. We have paid out the wazoo in insurance premiums and it infuriates me that the insurance company can dictate what type of care that I receive not my surgeon and myself deciding what is best for my body. Thanks in advance for whatever help you can give me. Kim

Hi Kim,
if you look in the surgical outcomes here http://adrsupport.org/private-cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ub...t_topic;f=1;t=000052 you will see actual amounts paid and the costs at the hotel also. The cost at the Alphaklinik is approximately $27,000 for a two-level ADR. You have got to add the cost of the airfare and your hotel, but I suspect it is still much cheaper than the USA. Best, Alastair

Also the Alphaklinik will quote you a "Fixed Price" and they stick to it.

Alastair thanks for the info. I saw a lot of prices in Euros and my poor mind would not wrap around that to covert it. I also wondered what the hotel airfare etc was running so anthoer reason for me asking.
Thanks again Kim
