Getting your insurance to pay

I was told by my doctor that my release from the hospital depends on how comfortable I feel about going home. He told me if I feel the need to stay in an extra day or so, he will get it approved by my insurance company. My approval letter states that I am approved for 2 days and that additional days will be approved on a daily basis as needed.

I do feel blessed that my insurance company is one of the few that are allowing the ADR as I know that so many are still struggling with approvals and appeals.
