I agree 100%. At this point in time, I believe it is too late to pursue this before my neurosurgeon's appointment (3-MAY).

A coworker friend of mine (who has several doctors in the family) suggested writing a letter to the Board of Health ? (Board of Medical Doctors?) briefly describing my situation and asking for a copy of the films, and if no such films exist why not.

My understanding is that such a letter would force the doctor to reply to a higher power concerning why a diagnostic test was performed that didn't involve films of some sort.

I am seriously considering it, but I would prefer to be sure that I don't have to deal with this doctor or anyone in his office before I write such a letter.

(ie, hopefully the neurogsurgeon will agree that I am an excellent candidate for ADR, and we can move forward from there)

I'd get an attorney to write a letter to the Chief saying how concerned people are of the dangers of a repeat discogram in an already insulted area.

When I had my Discogram done, as I was sitting in the "recovery" area, the doctor showed me the X-Rays. I asked for a copy and he made them for me on the spot. They simply put the X-ray on the copier with a piece of white paper behind it for background. It's a paper copy, but good enough to see the needles going into all discs from L3-S1.

Good luck to you David!

Karen
