Default Lyrica Dose

Okay, my doctor put me on Lyrica. He said that they had plenty of samples in office, so be sure to ask at yours. Starting dose is going to be 75mg twice per day. After the first week they might adjust the dosage upward depending on effectiveness.

The doctor stressed that I need to watch closely for respiratory distress and swelling the first 48 hours.

Hey MarkH & Jason,

A little info for what its worth about my experience with Lyrica.
I had trouble using it, in that it made my temper very short and I experienced mood swings. My wife said she will devoice me if I ever take it again. I did use it for 2 years and it did help. I’m now taking Cymbalta and not experiencing the mood shifts or temper problems. The Cymbalta is just (if not more) affective for the nerve pain. I hope you have better luck with the Lyrica than I did.

Your friend in pain,

I should proof read before I hit send. I'm sure my wife would love to devoice first and then divorce me once I can't talk back.
One of the joys of being on pain meds is that you can always blame the narcotics for you being stupid.
